Mediterranean rain, drier and warmer in the east
Saturday On Saturday and a pronounced change to colder weather is expected across England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland through the day, while unsettled conditions with further rain and showers dominate across France and down towards Spain and Portugal as well. Best of the weather will continue to be through some central and eastern areas of the Mediterranean with mainly dry, mild and brighter weather across Italy and eastwards towards Greece. Unsettled weather does, however, look likely to continue across much of Scandinavia with plenty of snow here, very cold as well across Norway with perhaps some extreme minimum temperatures here later on Saturday and overnight into Sunday.
Sunday An unsettled day through Spain and Portugal. Plenty of rain, some of it heavy across northern Spain. Showers in the Balearics with some fair weather for Corsica and Sardinia. Fine and warm in Italy with sunny spells and warm weather affecting Greece too. Rain and cloud for the west and south of France, but drier in more central areas. Breezy in northern France and the Low Countries. Chilly but dry in northern Germany with sunny spells. Chilly too in most of Poland but some cloud in the south. Broken cloud for southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Fair for Denmark with sunny spells here. The Baltic States will be fair to with sunny spells here. Windy with rain or snow in northern Sweden and Finland. Rain or sleet with sno inland over central and northern Norway.
